Samsung confirms HBM5 will use 2nm GAA process, speed over 50% higher than HBM4E
The head of Samsung's semiconductor development division stated that HBM5 will be more than 50% faster than HBM4E, utilizing a 2nm process with GAA transistors and denser TSV connections. The company plans to expand collaboration in mobile devices, HBM, AI, HPC, automotive electronics, and robotics.
