Thales Group's report, based on a survey of over 3,000 respondents from 20 countries, reveals that 34% of organizations already use AI agents, and 73% plan to deploy them within a year. The speed and volume of data used by AI agents are complicating security, leading to a 50% annual increase in organizations allocating budget specifically for AI-related information security. 70% of respondents cite the rapid pace of AI ecosystem changes as a key security factor, and 61% report attacks on their AI applications aimed at stealing confidential data. 48% of companies suffered losses due to AI-generated disinformation, and 59% faced deepfake-based attacks. Cloud storage (35%), SaaS applications (34%), and cloud management infrastructure (32%) remain top attack targets. User credentials rose from 8th to 5th as a top target. The Russian BISA survey found that 89% of respondents consider transferring confidential data to public AI services a critical threat, 46% are aware of data leaks via AI, and 59% partially agree with AI regulation, emphasizing the need to support domestic solutions. 46% of organizations allow limited AI use, 48% train employees, and 30% enhance controls to mitigate risks.
