Microsoft has introduced a comprehensive platform for AI agents, integrating GitHub, Azure, Microsoft 365, and other services into a unified system for building, deploying, and managing enterprise-level agents. The platform's key principles are integration, security, and continuous improvement. Agents should be created in GitHub, contextualized via Microsoft IQ, executed in Foundry, managed through Agent 365, and continuously improved by collecting feedback.
Microsoft has announced the creation of a comprehensive AI agent platform designed for enterprise customers. The platform integrates Azure, GitHub, Microsoft IQ, Fabric, Foundry, Windows, Microsoft Security, and Microsoft 365 into a unified system that enables building, deploying, and managing agents at enterprise scale. Agent development takes place in GitHub using GitHub Copilot, with agents undergoing a complete lifecycle: source code, testing, deployment, monitoring, and improvement. Agent contextualization is achieved through Microsoft IQ, which connects to business data from Microsoft 365, CRM, knowledge bases, and web resources; Frontier Tuning is also available for fine-tuning models on specific enterprise data. Agent execution is handled by the Foundry environment, supporting multiple models (including Microsoft's own models, partner models, and open models), optimized inference via Fireworks AI, and tools for tracking and continuous optimization. Management and security are ensured through Agent 365, Entra, Purview, and Defender, enabling centralized visibility of all agents, control over their access and behavior. The system continuously improves by collecting signals (trajectories, results, feedback), allowing eval-based enhancements, model selection, fine-tuning, and reinforcement learning. Agents operate directly within Teams, Microsoft 365, and other applications, maintaining corporate identity, security, and policy compliance. Microsoft emphasized that success in the AI era depends not on a single model but on a holistic system that integrates development, context, execution, management, and continuous improvement of agents.
