FlightAware Drops Lawsuit Against Kalshi; Mistral Expands as AI and Server Service

FlightAware has withdrawn its lawsuit against US betting exchange Kalshi over flight delay prediction markets, just one day after filing. In Europe, French AI lab Mistral is shifting from model developer to AI infrastructure provider, offering compute on its own servers and hosting third-party open-weight models. Amazon Game Studios is exiting the MMO space, transferring operations of Throne and Liberty and Lost Ark to other companies.
The flight data service FlightAware has withdrawn its lawsuit against the US betting exchange Kalshi, which it had filed earlier this week. The suit was in response to Kalshi offering bets on flight delays and cancellations using FlightAware's data without consent, naming FlightAware as a data source. The market has since removed these references and now only links to FlightAware. In Europe, the French AI company Mistral announced three strategic moves: building out its own compute capacity in Europe with commitments from large companies and institutions, allowing customers to choose where AI requests are processed for digital sovereignty, and expanding its platform to host open-weight models from other developers, starting with a Chinese AI model. Amazon Game Studios is discontinuing two large online games: New World: Aeternum will shut down in early 2027, while Throne and Liberty in the West and Lost Ark in the West will be handed over to other operators. Amazon is now focusing on cloud gaming and party games.
