Zhiyuan Removes Chief Scientist Luo Jianlan from Website

Zhiyuan Robotics has removed Luo Jianlan, its chief scientist and partner, from the leadership team on its official website, fueling rumors of his departure. The move comes after social media speculation and shortly after Zhiyuan Innovation confirmed it had initiated its Hong Kong IPO process. Luo's personal pages also no longer mention Zhiyuan, and his role is now only listed as assistant professor at ShanghaiTech. Luo joined Zhiyuan in April 2025 as chief scientist and later became partner and senior vice president. He led the establishment of the Zhiyuan Embodied Intelligence Research Center and worked on real-world reinforcement learning, online post-training, and world models, with projects like SERL and HIL-SERL. If confirmed, his tenure would have been about 1 year and 4 months. Neither Zhiyuan nor Luo has publicly announced the change, so it awaits official confirmation.
