Robort, the robotics division of Russian IT distributor 3Logic Group, has added Unitree A2 and A2-W quadruped robots to its portfolio. Both models are available in Standard and Pro modifications and implement two different mobility approaches. The robots feature a dual-battery system with hot-swap capability and can be used for inspection, remote monitoring, logistics, and rescue operations.
Robort, the robotics division of Russian IT distributor 3Logic Group, announced the expansion of its portfolio with the addition of Unitree A2 and A2-W quadruped robots. Both models come in Standard and Pro modifications and implement two different mobility approaches. The Unitree A2 moves on supporting legs and is designed for uneven surfaces, difficult terrain, and obstacle-laden routes, with its articulated four-legged construction helping the platform adapt to changing conditions and maintain stability. The Unitree A2-W combines articulated limbs with wheel modules, allowing it to traverse flat and long stretches more efficiently while retaining off-road capability on more complex sections. Both models are equipped with a dual-battery system that supports hot swapping, allowing one battery to be replaced without stopping the robot, thereby reducing downtime during long tasks. The robots can be used for facility inspections, remote monitoring, intra-facility logistics, and auxiliary operations on enterprise premises. In emergency rescue scenarios, they can remotely survey hard-to-reach or potentially hazardous zones, gather information, and deliver necessary equipment. Support for developing custom solutions allows the platforms to be adapted to specific project conditions and to test navigation, environmental perception, and motion control systems. In universities, laboratories, and R&D centers, the Unitree A2 and A2-W can be used for studying programming, mechatronics, artificial intelligence, and mobile robotics, with algorithms developed in virtual environments transferable to physical platforms for real-world testing. Ilya Kainov, head of Robort at 3Logic Group, emphasized the importance of considering the entire future scenario—surface, route length, operational duration, and required additional equipment—when choosing a quadruped robot, noting that the A2 line allows starting with a pilot project and adapting the platform to real operating conditions.
