SpaceXAI, Elon Musk's AI company, has introduced an early beta of Grok Bot, an AI agent that not only reacts to input but also independently performs tasks. Users can create different bots, grant them access to specific applications and websites, and delegate tasks. The bots continue working even when the laptop is in standby mode and only report back when they need approval or have completed their task. The prototype was first used internally at SpaceXAI, where an employee compared it to having eight arms that work together. Grok Bot is designed to behave like a real team member, learning continuously and improving with collaboration. It can remember past conversations, replicate the user's writing style, resume interrupted threads, and become proactive in recognizing tasks. The bot is available as a beta for subscribers of the 'Super Grok Heavy' plan at $300 per month, as well as for users of 'Cursor Ultra' at $200 per month and 'Cursor Premium Teams' at $120 per member per month, since SpaceXAI acquired the AI coding tool Cursor in June. It is available on macOS, Windows, Linux, and iOS, with Android coming soon, but new sign-ups are placed on a waiting list.
