Google's Pixel 11 series introduces new camera features powered by AI, including Magic Capture, Instant Night Sight, Camera Looks, and a Creator Suite. Magic Capture uses Gemini AI to automatically take photos during video recording. Instant Night Sight is 4.5 times faster than standard Night Sight.
Google's Pixel Camera chief Isaac Reynolds says year-to-year camera upgrades remain critical for casual photographers. The new Pixel 11 Pro can zoom up to 120X using AI-generated pixels to fill details. The Magic Capture feature uses Google's Gemini AI models to analyze over 500 frames during a two-minute video and capture peak moments as full-quality photos, so users can be present instead of holding their phone. Instant Night Sight, enabled by the new Tensor G6 processor, is 4.5 times faster than standard Night Sight and is available on Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL. Camera Looks allow users to choose between Original, Natural, Shadows, and Vanilla styles, with additional customization. The Creator Suite includes a teleprompter, audio visualizer, and social media grid. Other improvements include 30% faster camera launch latency, 9% better power efficiency, 4K Portrait Video, and automated Pro Stable Video for shaky footage.
