Google Now Lets You Sign In with a Selfie If You Forget Your Password

Google has added a new way to regain access to your account: by recording a selfie video. You must set this up in advance, and it is not available for Workspace accounts, child accounts, or accounts enrolled in Google's Advanced Protection Program. The video is stored encrypted on Google's servers, and the company says it will not use the video for other purposes unless you opt in. There is an optional toggle to allow Google to use the selfie video to improve its facial recognition technology, but this is not required for the account recovery feature.
