Fenix Flexin's 'Rubberz' Likely Made with AI Music Generator Treblo, New Tool Confirms

The Verge reports that Fenix Flexin's song 'Rubberz' was very likely generated using Treblo, an AI music generator. Treblo's open-source classifier gave the track a high probability score, marking it as possibly the first AI-generated song to hit the Billboard Hot 100. Fenix denies the allegations.
The Verge reported that musician Medasin was confident that Fenix Flexin's track 'Rubberz' was made using the AI music generator Treblo, and now the company and a new detection tool appear to confirm it. On Monday, Treblo announced the open-source Treblo AI Music Classifier, which detects songs generated using Treblo, with a false positive rate of less than 1 in 1,000. The classifier determined that 'Rubberz' was 'very likely Treblo' with 'high confidence.' CEO Ryan Tremblay stated that the high probability score indicates the released audio was generated almost entirely by their model, making it the first known AI-generated song to reach the Billboard Hot 100. Fenix has denied the use of AI and posted clips of alleged project files, but those low-quality videos have not dispelled the allegations. According to Stereogum, Medasin claimed in an Instagram story that Fenix used an AI stem separator to fake the session. Fenix did not immediately return a request for comment.
