The super unit, covering 120,000 square meters (about 20 football fields), is designed for million-card parallel capability and million-P computing scale, making it the single AI data center with the strongest token output capacity globally. The base's total planned capacity exceeds 2GW, positioning it as the largest AI computing park and token factory in China. It is the first flagship project of Envision's 'Gobi Mission', which aims to build 5GW of green AI computing centers in desert regions worldwide by 2030. The super unit depends on an advanced AI power system for stable energy supply and storage. Ulanqab, being one of the eight national 'East Data West Computing' nodes, offers low network latency and abundant wind and solar resources, with 67% green electricity. The base uses self-built wind farms and dedicated lines for direct green power supply. According to Zheng Zihao, General Manager of Envision's AIDC division, the super unit supports the scale deployment of domestic AI chip clusters. The facility targets large tech and AI companies needing massive domestic computing power, providing a replicable Chinese solution for green AI infrastructure.
