Claude's voice mode now available for Opus and Sonnet models
Anthropic
Anthropic has expanded Claude's voice mode to the Opus and Sonnet models, and also provided access to integrations with Gmail, Slack, and Canva. The voice mode now supports French, German, Spanish, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, and Portuguese.
Previously, voice mode was only available on the Haiku model, which is the fastest but less powerful. Now Anthropic has introduced it on Opus and Sonnet—deeper models designed for solving complex tasks. Users can switch between text and voice modes, as well as change models during a conversation. Additionally, voice mode has become available for integrations with Gmail, Slack, and Canva. The company's blog notes that users have started using voice mode not only for quick questions but also for real business tasks. Now Sonnet and Opus can, for example, turn a conversation into a one-page presentation or move meetings in a calendar. Voice mode has also expanded language support: it is now available in French, German, Spanish, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, and Portuguese.
