Chinese makers accounted for 97% of global humanoid robot shipments in H1 2026

According to Bloomberg, citing Smart Analytics Global, Chinese companies accounted for roughly 97% of global humanoid robot shipments in the first half of 2026. A total of just over 19,000 such robots were shipped in H1 2026, a 272% increase compared to 5,100 units in H1 2025. The share of Chinese companies in 2025 was not specified. The market leader was Shanghai-based Agibot, which shipped about 8,400 humanoid robots, capturing 44% of the global market. Unitree followed with a 31% share, shipping 5,900 units. Smart Analytics Global expects global humanoid robot shipments to reach about 60,000 units by the end of 2026 and 500,000 by 2030. In H1 2026, robots for industrial tasks accounted for over 70% of shipments, up from roughly 50% a year earlier. Bloomberg notes that the industry's growth in China is supported by government funding and robotics development programs. In July 2026, US authorities banned imports of new models of foreign humanoid and quadruped robots, which will primarily affect Chinese manufacturers.
