The AICon Global AI Development and Application Conference in Shenzhen, scheduled for August 21-22, 2026, will focus on AI infrastructure, large model systems, intelligent agent engineering, data intelligence, multimodal technology, and industry applications. Over 50 technical leaders from companies like Tencent, Alibaba, Huawei, Baidu, and Ant Group will share insights. Dr. Wang Chenglu, CEO of Shenzhen Kaihong Digital Industry Development Co. and a key figure in China's software industry, will deliver a keynote titled 'Giving AI a Body: From Large Models to Physical AI,' arguing that while large models grant AI understanding and reasoning, current AI remains confined to the digital realm and cannot perceive the physical environment or execute closed-loop actions in industries like manufacturing and healthcare. He will discuss how open-source HarmonyOS, through its unified operating system, distributed soft bus, and multi-device collaboration, can turn heterogeneous devices into intelligent nodes, providing data and physical execution capabilities for AI. Dr. Wang, who joined Huawei in 1998 and led the development of HarmonyOS, left Huawei in 2022 to join Shenzhen Kaihong. Additionally, Dr. Kingsum Chow, a professor at Zhejiang University, will give a keynote on performance engineering in the AI era. The conference will also feature 10 thematic forums on subjects such as AI infrastructure, inference engineering, heterogeneous computing, robotics AGI, agent security, and high-value agent business scenarios.
