Nokia Lost the Smartphone Market but Doesn't Want to Miss the AI Boom

Nokia, once the market leader in phones, lost to smartphones, but is now betting on AI infrastructure. The company is strengthening its data center business, acquired optical equipment manufacturer Infinera, and Nvidia bought a 2.9% stake in Nokia. Since the beginning of 2026, shares have risen by approximately 90%.
