AMD introduces Instinct MI455X AI accelerator with 432 GB HBM4 and up to 40 PFLOPS performance
AMD has unveiled its Instinct MI455X AI accelerators for data centers, based on CDNA 5 architecture, featuring 432 GB of HBM4 memory and peak performance up to 40 PFLOPS in MXFP4. The GPU includes 320 billion transistors, uses a multi-chiplet design with TSMC N2 and N3P processes, and offers 2.9x memory bandwidth improvement over the previous generation. Additionally, AMD announced the Instinct MI430X for scientific and sovereign AI workloads.
