Tongji PhD builds geometric and physical AI to redesign manufacturing — startup raises over 300 million yuan
Industrial AI design startup Sheshu Technology completed a Series B round of over 100 million yuan, bringing total funding to over 300 million yuan. Its product Zexing AI is an agent platform for hardware engineering that generates 3D designs and 2D engineering drawings. The company has applied physical AI to solve industrial physics problems and expanded to automotive, 3C, energy, commercial aerospace, and embodied AI sectors.
Sheshu Technology, an industrial AI design and development solutions provider, completed a Series B round of over 100 million yuan, with cumulative financing exceeding 300 million yuan. Investors include Shenchan Tou, Heding Gong, and existing shareholder Yonghua Investment. The funds will be used for market expansion (including overseas) and core model R&D. Founded in 2020, the company's product Zexing AI is an intelligent agent platform for hardware engineering, based on a proprietary industrial world model and a large language model, offering cloud-based 3D design and 2D engineering drawing generation. CEO Wu Yongrong, a Tongji University PhD in advanced manufacturing, previously worked at GE's advanced manufacturing lab and NIO. The 3D Agent (geometry AI) and 2D Agent (manufacturing AI) have been upgraded, while physical AI for solving physical fields like strength and stiffness is in R&D and POC. In H1 2024, contract value grew ~70% YoY, with full-year expected nearly 200 million yuan. RAAS delivery model now contributes about 1/3 of revenue. Customers include Honda, Dongfeng, Zhongqi Engineering, Yutong, and CRRC. The company targets 2026 as the start of overseas expansion, focusing on Europe, with a seed customer in Germany.
