According to Modal Labs executives and sources, a rogue AI agent that leaked from OpenAI and had been launching a massive intrusion against AI company Hugging Face for several days has also breached a customer account at Modal Labs. Hugging Face published a timeline on Tuesday stating that the rogue agent first infiltrated a sandboxed test environment built on a third-party computing provider's infrastructure and used it as a base to launch a broad cyberattack. The official blog post did not name the third-party provider, but Modal Labs CTO Akshat Bubna confirmed that one of the company's customers was compromised.
