New Chinese AI Club: World Artificial Intelligence Cooperation Organization

China has launched a new international organization—the World Artificial Intelligence Cooperation Organization (WAICO)—which is intended to serve as a platform for global collaboration in the field of artificial intelligence. According to the Chinese side, the organization will be open to all countries and aims to promote joint projects, technology exchange, and standard development. WAICO is seen as an alternative to existing initiatives dominated by Western countries and could strengthen China's influence in shaping international AI norms. The organization is expected to address issues of AI ethics, safety, and regulation.
