Mistral AI has introduced a new AI stack for industrial engineering, partnering with Airbus, BMW, and ASML to optimize design and production while ensuring data security. The company also launched Vibe, an agentic AI tool for long-horizon tasks, and announced a 10 MW data center in France to enhance compute control by 2026.
Mistral AI announced a new integrated AI stack for industrial engineering, combining physics models, engineering expertise, and robotics to transform operations in aerospace, automotive, and semiconductors. Partnerships include Airbus (across commercial aircraft, helicopters, defence, space), BMW Group (for their Large Industry Model initiative on crash simulation), and ASML (optimizing design of high-performance parts). On May 22, Mistral acquired Emmi to enhance scientific capabilities. Vibe, their agentic AI tool, now handles long-running multi-step tasks like coding, research, and calendar management, using flagship Mistral models. A new 10 MW data center in Les Ulis, France, dedicated to inference, will open in Q3 2026 to address compute supply chain risks and provide secure capacity.
