Meta in talks to lease computing capacity from Anthropic in a potential $10 billion deal

The New York Times reports that Meta Platforms is negotiating with Anthropic to lease computing capacity. The potential deal is expected to be worth up to $10 billion. Anthropic is the developer of the AI model Claude, and Meta owns large data centers. If an agreement is reached, Meta will become one of the key providers of computing resources for Anthropic, enabling the latter to expand the training and deployment of its AI models.
