Linus Torvalds: Linux is not an anti-AI project, it's a useful tool

Linus Torvalds stated on the Linux Media Mailing List that Linux is not an anti-AI project, and AI is a clearly useful tool. He warned that those who disagree can fork the project or walk away.
In a post on the Linux Media Mailing List, Linus Torvalds addressed the issue of AI within the Linux community. He emphasized that Linux is not an anti-AI project, and he is willing to put his foot down as the top-level maintainer on this matter. Torvalds stated that AI is a tool, just like other tools used in the project, and it is clearly useful today, unlike a year ago when its utility was debatable. He suggested that those who disagree with this stance can fork the project or walk away, and that anyone who doubts AI's usefulness has clearly not used it. He acknowledged other questions surrounding AI, such as its economic impact, but considered the question of its usefulness to be settled.
