Koda Desktop: desktop application for working with code via an AI agent

A beta version of Koda Desktop has been announced on Habr — a desktop application that allows you to open a local project folder, communicate with an AI agent in natural language, attach up to ten files (images, PDF, DOCX, TXT, MD, CSV, JSON, XML, logs), and safely accept changes right in the interface. Each chat is tied to a project and saved locally. The application is aimed not only at developers but also at testers, analysts, technical writers, team leads, and support engineers. A key feature is the operating modes that define the agent's role (reviewer, tester, documentation author, etc.), which can be customized via a constructor by selecting skills, tools, and MCP servers. File change management offers four levels of control: request confirmation (default), auto-edits, no confirmations, and read-only. Changes are displayed in diff format. Built-in Git integration enables creating commits and generating commit messages through the agent.
