The Kubuntu Focus Ar Gen 1 is a premium Linux laptop that weighs only 3.13 pounds despite its 16-inch display. It boots in about two minutes and runs KDE Plasma 6.6 on Kubuntu 26.04 LTS. The laptop is powered by an Intel Core Ultra X7 358H Panther Lake CPU with 32 GB of RAM, and it performed flawlessly when running Ollama for AI tasks. The 165 Hz matte display has 2560 x 1600 resolution, 450 nits brightness, and can drive two external 4K monitors. Battery life is rated up to 12 hours, and the chassis is all machined metal.
