Federation Council Approves AI Development Law with Rules for Foundation Models and Content Labeling

The Federation Council has approved a law on the development of artificial intelligence that establishes rules for fundamental AI models and obliges labeling of content created with their help on the internet. The law aims to regulate the field of AI in Russia, including requirements for developers and operators of such models. The document provides for liability for violating the rules of labeling and use of AI. The law was passed after consideration in the State Duma and will now be sent to the president for signature.
