Cyera acquires Oasis Security for $1B to protect growing number of AI agents

Cyera, a data security company valued at $12 billion after raising $600 million, announced a letter of intent to acquire Oasis Security for approximately $1 billion, mostly in cash and partly in Cyera shares. Oasis specializes in non-human identities, primarily AI agents, and helps companies monitor agent behavior and manage permissions. Founded in 2022, Oasis raised about $195 million from Accel, Craft Ventures, Cyberstarts, and others. The acquisition highlights the growing cybersecurity market defending enterprises against AI-powered attacks. Cyera has been actively acquiring, recently purchasing Index Ventures-backed Ryft and Genie Security. Post-deal, Cyera plans to integrate Oasis's technology into a unified identity and data security platform. Despite surpassing $150 million in annual recurring revenue, Cyera is not yet profitable and has raised about $2.3 billion in total funding.
