Chinese Company Jinghe Nengyuan Unveils World's First Bionic Intelligent Battery System

At the 2026 Automotive Thermal Systems Conference, Jinghe New Energy, in collaboration with Tsinghua University's Institute of Advanced Batteries, unveiled the world's first bionic intelligent thermal management system for batteries. Design data showed that the system reduces development cycles by over 60%, lowers research and development costs by more than 50%, improves battery temperature uniformity by 31%, and reduces cell peak temperatures by 8°C. Additionally, on July 24, it was reported that Japanese conglomerate SoftBank Group is considering acquiring Swiss AI robotics company Gravis Robotics AG to strengthen its artificial intelligence and embodied intelligence efforts in robotics. SoftBank plans to acquire a significant stake in the startup and integrate it into its newly forming AI and robotics company 'Roze'. The deal may proceed in phases, including purchasing existing shares and subsequent investments, with Gravis's valuation potentially exceeding $500 million. Final terms of the deal have not yet been determined.
