Chinese company Baidu has publicly demonstrated a physical sample of its new AI chip for the first time — the Kunlun Core M100. The chip was developed by the Kunlun Core division specifically for optimizing inference of large language models. The M100 is based on the RISC-V architecture and manufactured using a 7-nanometer process. According to the developers, the chip is designed for high-performance inference tasks, which could reduce the operational costs of large AI models.
