Anthropic releases Claude Opus 5, Unitree on Time cover, anti-fraud app gets AI feature

Anthropic has officially released its new flagship AI model, Claude Opus 5, which the company claims outperforms the previous version in programming, agentic tasks, and complex reasoning, while its overall performance approaches that of the more advanced Claude Fable 5. The API pricing remains unchanged from Opus 4.8, at $5 per million input tokens and $25 per million output tokens. The model is designed for enterprise use, software development, and everyday high-frequency tasks, and features enhanced security and abuse prevention. Meanwhile, Wang Xingxing, founder and Chief Executive Officer of Unitree Technology, appeared on the cover of Time magazine alongside the humanoid robot GD01, with the magazine dubbing him an "atypical visionary of the AI era." Additionally, China's Ministry of Public Security announced that the national anti-fraud app now includes a feature allowing users to upload suspicious videos, audio, and images for one-tap verification of AI-generated traces.
