Agents are changing clouds: every third request to Timeweb Cloud documentation is from AI
Timeweb Cloud reports that 32% of its documentation requests come from AI bots, with ChatGPT-User making 23 times more requests than Googlebot. The company sees a shift where agents select cloud providers based on API design and documentation quality, not visual interfaces.
Timeweb Cloud's development head Mikhail Shpakov shares data showing that 76,000 out of 237,000 external requests (32%) to the company's documentation over two weeks came from AI vendor bots. ChatGPT-User alone made 61,475 requests, while Googlebot made 2,691. The agent requests focus on action-oriented pages (server creation, DNS management) rather than troubleshooting. The company has an MCP server enabling cloud management via Cursor, Claude Code, or its own TimewebGPT assistant, which handled 112,000 requests in two weeks. Shpakov predicts agents will commoditize basic IaaS, shrink managed services margins based on labor, but increase demand for responsibility-bearing services (SLA, data protection) and a new oversight layer for autonomous operations.
