Tencent Hunyuan Restructuring: Foundation Model Department Established, Yao Shunyu in Charge

Tencent has restructured its Hunyuan AI team, creating a new Foundation Model Department responsible for large language models and multimodal technologies. Yao Shunyu, former head of Computer Vision at Tencent, has been appointed to lead the department, reporting directly to the company's senior leadership.
