Anthropic, the AI developer, has been ordered to pay the largest copyright class action settlement in history. The amount and details of the settlement have not yet been disclosed.

When calling an API, the model may be replaced with another one, served in reduced precision (quantized), or silently updated. This creates legal risks: breach of warranty, difficulties in proof in court, and potential consumer deception. A solution could be cryptographically certified identity of the model in each response.
