Yandex reports revenue and profit growth; self-driving segment remains loss-making

Yandex published its financial report for Q2 2026, showing revenue growth of 16% year-on-year to 386 billion rubles and adjusted EBITDA up 35% to 89 billion rubles. The company bought back 3.3 million shares and may pay dividends of 110 rubles per share. The autonomous technologies segment continued to be loss-making with an EBITDA loss of 6 billion rubles.

Siobahn Day Grady Wants Everyone to Be AI Literate

Siobahn Day Grady launched the first AI research institute at a historically Black college or university (HBCU) in January 2025. The Institute for Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Research (IAIER) at North Carolina Central University aims to equip students and faculty with AI literacy, backed by a $1 million Google.org grant and partnerships with Google, IBM, and OpenAI.
