TSMC speeds up 1.4nm fab construction with AI and VR, completion by April 2027

TSMC is using AI and virtual reality to accelerate the construction of a new fab for its 1.4nm A14 process. Completion is expected by April 2027, allowing volume production to start in 2028, ahead of rivals Samsung and Intel.

Deploying Kimi K3 on AWS

Moonshot AI released Kimi K3, a 2.8 trillion parameter MoE model, open-weight. The AWS blog post describes deploying it on SageMaker HyperPod or Amazon EKS using p6-b300 instances with NVIDIA B300 Blackwell Ultra GPUs, vLLM serving, and MXFP4 quantization.
