Accelerated Creation of 'Space Brain': Beijing Officially Launches Digital Space-1 Experimental Satellite Project
Beijing has officially launched the 'Digital Space-1' project, an experimental satellite for testing 'space brain' technologies capable of autonomous perception, cognition, and decision-making. Chinese scientists and companies aim to shift from 'ground control' to 'onboard intelligence' to address the management challenge of tens of thousands of low-orbit satellites.
디지털 공간 전략 가속화 컨퍼런스에서 '디지털 공간-1' 프로젝트 출범이 발표됐다. 해당 전략을 제안한 웨이펑쓰(魏奉思) 원사는 미래 우주 시스템에는 지각, 인지, 행동을 밀리초 주기로 통합하는 탑재형 지능, 즉 '우주 두뇌'가 필요하다고 강조했다. '디지털 우주'(Digital Space)사는 '위성 자율 비행 + 우주 지능형 관제' 솔루션을 공개했다. 이를 위해 위성에는 추가 센서와 연산 장치가 탑재되며, 지상에서는 스페이스옴니(SpaceOmni) 플랫폼이 모니터링, 위험 예측, 군집 관제, 디지털 트윈 기능을 제공한다. 이 프로젝트는 톈이스페이스(Tianyi Space), 중커시광항공(Zhongke Xiguang Aerospace) 등 12개 민간 우주 기업과의 협력을 포함한다. 한편, 우주에서 거대 언어 모델(LLM, Large Language Model)을 적용하는 것은 '블랙박스' 특성과 환각 현상 때문에 문제가 있어, 이 접근법은 엔지니어링 경험을 통합한 물리 모델에 기반한다.
