Perplexity's Personal Computer turns Windows PCs into AI agents

Perplexity has expanded its Personal Computer AI tool to Windows, allowing users to run a locally-based AI system that can access files and apps. The tool, previously available on Mac, is now rolling out to paying Max and Enterprise Max subscribers from $200/month.
Perplexity has launched Personal Computer for Windows, enabling Windows PCs to act as AI agents. The tool operates like a general-purpose digital worker, accessing local files and apps to perform actions such as creating documents and updating spreadsheets. This follows Perplexity's integrations with Microsoft 365 and Teams in May. The announcement notes that enterprise work often occurs on Windows devices out of AI's reach, and Personal Computer for Windows aims to bridge that gap. It is rolling out to paying Max and Enterprise Max users on subscription tiers starting from $200 per month. Perplexity says the tool does not train on company data and notifies users before sensitive actions like sending emails or deleting files.
